THE POWER OF WORDS: IGNITING CHANGE

THROUGH

THE ARTS

 FEATURED PROGRAMS

Words Manifest is a nonprofit organization that provides a platform for creatives to express themselves freely through creative writing and visual arts.

"MAKE SOME NOISE! A YOUTH POETRY ANTHOLOGY"

This program provides a platform for youth ages 12-18 to have their original poetry published in a yearly anthology.

Make Some Noise! brings together a diverse variety of poetry, prose, and short stories written by youth from the United States and abroad.

"POETRY MANIFEST PROJECT"

A program dedicated to revitalizing spoken word/performance poetry. Selected poets will have an opportunity to share their poems before a live audience, with the taped version of the show for television being recorded in advance for later airing.  Additionally, the poets' works will be published in the upcoming poetry anthology.

"THE L.O.V.E PROGRAM"

Working closely with Communities in Schools, the L.O.V.E. Program will work with all school personnel and parents to assist in the development of a child’s loving and kind nature. We will work in tandem with the teacher one-day a week to teach the children lessons in love and kindness. The children will learn how to recognize and appreciate cultural, emotional, ethnic, family, language, learning, loving, mental, physical, skin color, and social differences. The children will also learn that while they may not be able to control what happens to them, they can control how they respond.
